KESSELGRID
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data the game Kesselgrid (on PC, and on Android once released) and the website kesselgrid.com collect, why, and what rights you have. The short version: the game collects nothing when you play offline, and online play needs no account — only what is needed to connect you to a match. We do not show ads, we do not use analytics or tracking, and we never sell your data.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Víctor Nolasco Sánchez, developer of Kesselgrid, Spain. Contact for anything related to privacy: contact@kesselgrid.com.
2. Playing offline
Single-player games, saved games, settings, maps and scenarios you create stay on your device. None of it is sent to us. The game contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services.
3. Playing online
Online multiplayer and co-op do not require an account, email address or password. When you play online we process:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| A technical player identifier that the game generates from your device the first time you play online, and stores on your device | To tell players apart in a lobby and let you reconnect to a match you dropped out of. |
| The display name you choose (by default "Jugador-" followed by part of that identifier) | To show your name to the other players. We recommend not using your real name. |
| In-match data: your country, orders and chat messages | To run the match. |
| IP address and technical connection data | To connect you to the servers and to keep them secure. |
All of this is held only in the servers' memory while you are connected and the match is running, apart from the technical logs described below. We do not keep a database of players, profiles or match history.
Legal basis: providing the online service you asked for (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for technical logs.
4. The website
kesselgrid.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party fonts or scripts. The hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to deliver and protect the site.
5. Who else processes the data
We use these providers to run the service. They process data only on our instructions:
- Google Cloud (Cloud Run, region europe-west1, Belgium) — the online game servers and their technical logs.
- Cloudflare — hosting of this website and forwarding of emails sent to contact@kesselgrid.com.
- Google (Gmail) — the mailbox where emails sent to contact@kesselgrid.com are received and stored.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) — delivery of the replies we send from contact@kesselgrid.com.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Purchases on Steam or Google Play are handled entirely by Valve or Google under their own privacy policies; we do not receive your payment details.
6. How long we keep it
- Player identifier, name and in-match data: only while you are connected and the match is running.
- Server technical logs: up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Emails you send to contact@kesselgrid.com and our replies: as long as needed to answer you and follow up on your request, and at most two years after the last message, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Brevo keeps delivery logs of our replies for a limited time.
The player identifier and your chosen name also stay on your device until you uninstall the game.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to or restrict its processing, by writing to contact@kesselgrid.com. We will answer within one month.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or the authority in your country.
8. Children
The game does not ask for anyone's age, email or real name. If you are under 14, do not use your real name as your display name or share personal details in the chat.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version here with a new date. If the change is significant, we will also announce it in the game.
